The canton Vaud decided to brighten up its official parties 2014 with Gruyère AOP. During a blind degustation of 11 Gruyère AOP from Vaud, which all received over 19 of 20 points in average during a year, it is the Gruyère AOP from René Pernet, Peney-le-Jorat, which was selected cheese of the year of the authorities from Vaud for 2014.
