Dates stuffed with Le Gruyère AOP

10' 5'

Did you know that dates are also known ‘the bread of the desert‘?  This is due to their many important nutrients, as well as vitamins – a real power food. The date palm is one of the oldest cultivated plants, grown by us humans for over 2000 years.

This fruit, which originates in the Orient, is available nowadays in every supermarket. We often come across dried dates, as they keep much longer than fresh ones. They also taste considerably sweeter, as drying increases the sugar content in the date. For athletes, they offer an ideal snack and a quick energy kick in between meals. What is more, dates are also said to improve sleep. When you eat dates regularly, your sleep rhythm improves.

Although dates taste great in their raw state, their wonderful aromas really come to the fore when they are heated. Combining them with crispy fried bacon and melted Le Gruyère AOP Crème gives you a true taste experience.
